Structured Reds & Expressive Whites: February’s Lineup is Here!
Our February allocation showcases the depth and range of the Grand Klasse series with two expressive whites and two structured reds, each shaped by extended time in oak and a focus on precision. Alongside them is 2022 Reverence — our reserve Grenache/Syrah/Mourvèdre blend and longtime fan favorite — bringing integrated fruit and savory detail to the lineup. Together, these five wines highlight both clarity and power, with styles that move seamlessly from lifted and mineral-driven to structured and savory.
2023 Grand Klasse Roussanne $42
Old-world in character and layered in expression, the Grand Klasse Roussanne opens with Meyer lemon, apricot, and peach, followed by chamomile tea, beeswax, and almond paste. Citrus and ripe stone fruits carry the palate with a distinct nutty tone. Barrel fermented and aged for 24 months in French oak puncheons, it is composed and suave from start to finish.
2023 Grand Klasse Viognier $42
Delicate and lifted, this Viognier shows nectarine, orange peel, and honeydew melon layered with honeysuckle, wet stones, and oak spice. Stone fruits and flambé tropical notes unfold alongside baking spices, framed by mineral texture. Barrel fermented and aged for 24 months, it balances aromatic fruit with structure and clarity.
2022 Reverence $65
Integrated and elegant, Reverence blends raspberry coulis, blackberry, and blood orange peel with lavender, rosemary, and graphite. Ripe red fruits, baking spices, and dry herbs shape the palate, giving the wine both energy and precision. Co-fermented and aged for 24 months in oak, it remains focused and nervy throughout.
2022 Grand Klasse Syrah $70 (WCE | 97 PTS)
Savory and structured, the Grand Klasse Syrah opens with black cherry, black olive, and plum sauce supported by cured meat, leather, and black pepper. Bramble fruit, sweet tobacco, and green peppercorn carry through the palate with clarity and focus. Aged for 24 months in new and neutral oak, it shows discipline and depth in equal measure.
2022 Grand Klasse Cabernet Sauvignon $98 (WCE| 98 PTS)
Refined and expressive, the Grand Klasse Cabernet Sauvignon centers on cassis, blueberry confiture, and cherry layered with tobacco, menthol, and wet stones. Ripe wild berries meet spicy, earthy, and savory tones, creating a seamless and precise profile. Shaped by 24 months in new and neutral oak, it highlights elegance and finely tuned structure.
