2022 Fall Release

Gård's Fall Release of FIVE new wines is Saturday, October 15!

This release boasts two of our best selling Grand Klasse Reserve reds, as well as the inaugural vintage of our Vineyard Series.

Meet Our New Releases

Inspired by the French Grand Cru wines, Gård “Grand Klasse” is our reserve-level program, aptly named in reflection of our Scandinavian heritage. To be designated “Grand Klasse,” each wine must meet strict standards of quality and is blended, bottled and aged with the utmost of care to bring you the very best of our grapes and effort in the bottle.

2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Grand Klasse Reserve  $65

87% Cabernet Sauvignon | 7% Cabernet Franc | 6% Merlot

Blueberry jam, crème de violette, clove, white pepper, and oak spice, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Grand Klasse Reserve is intense and layered on the nose. With some time in the glass, darker fruit, mocha, coffee grounds, leather, and sagebrush pops up. The palate is silky and elegant, with a downright soft texture. Dark chocolate shavings and anise come together seamlessly as an aftertaste. The wine is deeply concentrated, with good structure, smooth tannins and great acidity. A complex Cabernet Sauvignon that you can drink now or in the next 10 years.

Recommended pairings: Steak, burger, peppery sauces, aged cheddar

2019 Syrah Grand Klasse Reserve  $65

100% Syrah

Ripe dark cherry, fig paste, dark chocolate, coffee beans, white pepper and oak spice, this 2019 Syrah shows a dark core and lots of spice on the nose. With some time in the glass, currant and ripe red fruit starts to show up, as well as herbal notes of menthol, sage and lavender. The palate is juicy and structured, with fine grain tannins, almost chalky, with a beautiful acid lift. Still young and showing great aging potential, this classic Gård Syrah can be enjoyed now or in the next 10 years.

Recommended pairings: Smoked or grilled meat, lamb, gouda, Edam

NEW! 2019 Vineyard Series Solaksen {wine club exclusive}  $65

60% Cabernet Sauvignon | 20% Malbec | 20% Cabernet Franc

Solaksen vineyard (1430-1,490 f1 elevation) was planted off-axis over a fine sandy loam soil. This high elevation site produces lifted, vibrant and very aromatic wines with great structure and length.

Cassis, violets, dry sage, menthol and tangerine peel, this Bordeaux blend from Solaksen vineyard showcases a combination of sweet and savory tones on the nose. Swirling brings raspberry purée, potpourri, fresh plums, oak spice and graphite. Layered and mouthwatering, the wine has good texture and structure, with some nice tension holding everything together. The wine is still young, give it some air and you’ll see it shine in your glass. Drink now or in the next 10 years.

Recommended pairings: Grilled meats, mushroom dishes, hearty vegetable dishes

NEW! 2019 Vineyard Series Stoneridge {wine club exclusive}  $65

Black currant, smoked brisket, black pepper, licorice, and blood orange, the 2019 Vineyard Selection blend of Syrah and Tempranillo opens up savory and meaty on the nose. Swirling brings black olive tapenade, candied cherry, hoisin sauce, and hints of crushed flowers and seaweed. The mouthfeel is plush, soft and complex, with silky tannins, balanced acidity and wonderful length. The wine finishes savory and juicy, but with enough sweetness to back it up. A layered blend that you can drink now or in the next 10 years.

Recommended pairings: Barbeque, lamb, sausage, gouda

Ripe figs, strawberry confiture, cocoa powder, and espresso beans to begin, this very expressive Bordeaux blend from Conner Lee vineyard opens very intense on the nose. With some time in the glass, the wine shows huckleberry jam, tobacco and tar tones, in addition to mocha, Ceylán tea and dry herbs.
